Starting Fresh
I had ideas for this project for a long time. I bought the domain months ago, but never really got to it.
I'm going to start primarily working on it. I burned out working on Code Interactive, so I'm taking a little break. I've identified the reasons and will be doing things differently here.
The scope will be small. It's a simple app that I'm making for myself primarily.
I'm in no rush. I will take things slowly and make it an enjoyable experience. I don't need users, I am the user. There is no market to conquer, it's for me. If any come, so be it, but I will not be actively seeking them, at least for now.
I will not use AI to code (except for tedious, repetitive tasks), but take my time to really learn how to do things properly with Go.
On the frontend, I will also try and structure the project properly with NextJS. I will also invest more time into UX/UI, and try to make something I like that doesn't look like every other cookie cutter saas.
This should give me something interesting to write about as I learn, and I might try to use that to pivot Code Interactive into Go tutorials. We'll see.
For now, I'm enjoying the simple design and coding.
Today, I designed the API endpoints and the models. I'm figuring out how to nicely set up the server.
I've set up a structure I'm happy with, and with that, I'll call it a day.
