Project restart, new machine, AI, and observability.
Coming back to the project after a long break.
I took two weeks of vacation to clear my mind a little. Still have a week to go, but I finally feel inspired to work on this project again.
Finally got a new machine, now running Linux, so things should be much faster. I might try and experiment with firecracker again. Got a beefy graphics card too, so I'm excited to experiment with local LLMs and try and leverage AI to speed up content generation.
I also want to experiment with Grafana and Loki to improve the observability of the system.
I'll probably give the whole DevJourney project a thought too.
So many things I want to do now. We'll see if I'll be able to keep that energy once I start working again.
For now, I will focus on things that I find fun, interesting, and rewarding, not necessarily important or productive.
I set up the local environment, added some docs that were missing and organized the directories a little.
Feels great being able to run bash scripts without wsl.
I'll start by setting up structured logs everywhere before connecting Loki.
